Software Licensing Control

Version

Key Points
  • Real-Time License Monitoring & Proactive Notifications: Track active, expired, concurrent, or named licenses with instant visibility, while receiving automated email alerts when thresholds are exceeded to prevent disruptions and proactively plan renewals
  • Automatic License Restriction: Configure whether to grant or deny access when license limits are reached. Protect against unauthorized use and stay compliant with vendor requirements
  • Detailed License Reporting: Generate comprehensive License Usage Reports to see who is using which applications, when, and on which servers—vital for auditing and optimizing costs
  • Granular Access Control: Assign licenses to specific user groups or individuals. For named licenses, manage allocations by adding or removing users as roles evolve
  • Native EOW Integration: The Session Manager coordinates licensing checks before applications launch, ensuring every session respects current license availability and expiration

Take Control of Your Software Licenses

Software Licensing Control is an EO.workspace (EOW) feature designed to help organizations efficiently manage, monitor, and enforce application license usage. It integrates natively with EOW’s Administration Console, Session Manager, and Application Servers, enabling automatic restriction when license limits or expiration dates are reached, real-time reporting, and proactive notifications.

Why Software Licensing Control?

  • Simplified Compliance: Eliminate guesswork around usage limits and avoid costly vendor penalties.
  • Optimized Costs: Track license consumption to identify unused or underutilized licenses, helping you budget more effectively.
  • Zero Downtime Enforcement: Automatic checks enforce license rules without manual intervention or system restarts.
  • Centralized Visibility: Get a single, centralized view to configure, monitor, and act on licensing data across all your applications in EOW.
